During a time where you feel like there’s nothing to do at home but stare at a wall, and daydreaming about your past mistakes. I know many of you guys have already read and skim through so many posts about the COVID-19 (aka coronavirus). But, instead of me telling you some important doctor stuff that I just heard about online like thousands of other people. I know that’s important too, but has anyone ever told you about how important it is to stay sane during a time like this.
I don’t know about you, but since everything seems to be closing where I am right now. Not wanting to be around people is the new norm now. At least you won’t seem antisocial. I’m pretty sure that there’s now thousands and thousands of people on social media right now and creating a new instagram profile as you read. There gotta be something else to do then scrolling through your feed and liking every picture that makes you feel whole again.
What I have done was come up with ten things you can do when you honestly have nowhere else to go.

1. Read A Book
This might be more healthier way to feel like you’re in an action scene compared to watching tv. Allow your mine to still learn about something new and interesting. There’s no telling how far your imagination can go. One of the main benefits is that it can increase your intelligence which is kind of obvious. The more you read the more your words you know and your vocabulary becomes full with a wide range of complicated words.
2.Clean Phone Storage
With 24 hours in a day there’s so many pictures you can take without ever worrying about why you’re doing it. When that phone says your storage space is full it feels like a new stress that just came upon you. Search through your phone and see what you do and don’t need. A lot of stuff you won’t need but want. Any way you can finally have time to look through thousands of your pictures at home and find that photo you never want the world to see and. Delete it from your phone.
3.Declutter Your Wardrobe
As simple as it sounds so few actually take time to sort out their closet. With life always getting in the way, people try to find some sort of way to get out of organizing. The great part about this is that you might find that favorite dress that you have been looking ages for. When you’re ready, get back to the real world and daily routines. Everything would be all sorted out and easy to find so declutter your wardrobe would not have to be that little piece still stuck into the back of your mind.
4.Yes Cooking Time
If you and someone else is up to having a cooking challenge at home. After all that confrontation with them about who can cook the best burgers. It’s time to put an end to it. I would have to say that you would need at least three people to do this, because who’s going to taste the food and if it’s just the two of you that’s not going to work. For the most common reason. Let’s say it’s just you why not become a pro chef; well not a real pro. Practice some of your skills.
5.Change Up Your Hairdo
If you have any hair dye but you’re just too afraid to go forth with it. Well I’m not going to say “you should just suck it up and deal with your hair looking crazy if you mess it up”. Why not just go onto a more simpler path and find new styles to do that don’t deal with gloves and aluminum foil. Such as a new updo, curls, or straightening. If you want more ideas that the best thing I can say is go on Youtube and search hairstyles. That’s going to be your best bet at the moment.
6.At Home Spa
All you going to need is some candles and relaxing music. You can have time to yourself and relax in a calm place. A great way to relieve stress and any tension you might have been feeling. If you’re going to use your phone for some music I would advise you to lower your notification volume. So that nothing becomes a distraction from your spa day.
7.Facial Treatment
Taking care of your skin has a benefit to relieve stress. Sometimes a mask takes about 10- 25 mins to stay on your face I guess it depends on what type it is. The best part is that you would start to have healthier and glowy looking skin. It’s no telling if you start now you might get so used to doing this that you might never want to stop.
8.Deep Clean Home
With the coronavirus going around I probably should have put this on the top of the list, but it’s better late than never. It’s important to start cleaning at home and I don’t mean to straighten up for some reason so many people get those two mix ups. Get some cleaning supplies and sponges together and deep clean your home.
Germs and bacteria are in places that you would least expect. Such as the kitchen sink because soap is running against it from you washing your dishes does not mean it’s clean. Based on an article by WebMd, food particles from plates left to soak or rinsed from dishes on their way to the dishwasher can serve as a breeding ground for illness-causing bacteria. Leaving that spot from not being cleaned for a very long time; your family and even you can get a cold.
9.Workout Longer Than Usual
Now that you have time on your hands it might be time for you to pick up that dumbbell and start working out at home. You can start doing exercises that you never tried, because you were so busy. Let me help you out here. What do you have to do now and if you’re reading this then you have time. Instead of doing that quick twenty min workout every morning. Why not go for an hour.
10.Make A Vision Board
If you don’t know what a vision board is then let me explain. It’s a bunch of pictures on a board that means something to you, a goal of sorts. The goal is something that you want to accomplish by the end of the year or you can make it one year from today. I don’t know if it’s allowed but who’s going to tell you so. You can be creative and design it how you want this a way to let your creativity flow.
Not being able to have too much human contact might get sort of boring and probably isn’t good for your mental health. Being around people is kind of a part of life but it’s better to be safe than sorry and stay a few feet away from people. Some of these things on this list to do at home are not for everyone don’t put it down until you try.
