Taking care of your body and mind can lead you to be in a good mindset, and get you set for the rest of the day. Self-care is an important step in living the best life that you can and be your best self. Taking time out for yourself can easily help you destress from a difficult week. Taking a few minutes out of the day might seem like a tough task, especially when you have such a busy life.
By not being that stressed out, to begin with, can benefit you on what needs to accomplish this week. Whatever it is, whether it’s work, or family problems by decompressing you’ll find out. How to solve the problem that has been bugging you all week long faster. Before you even get stress you might be able to stop it before it happens.
It doesn’t always have to be stress-related for you to take a day just for yourself. Selfcare can keep you sane, and be proud about what you finish this week.
Sleeping peacefully
Have you ever thought of saying to someone “you look so peaceful when you sleep”? Of course in a noncreepy sort of way. Sleep can have a huge effect on how your day turns out. The number of hours you decided to sleep can make you or break you emotionally and physically.
Jot down what your happy about
Writing down about what you’re happy about in your life. Is a great way to continuing to being positive. If there’s something to be upset about, then its something to be happy about. Being in a good mood can help you do better in the day.
Move, move, move
Doing daily exercises energizes your body for being prepared to conquer the day. In the morning is one of the best times, because it can help wake you up. We all know that dreaded feeling of not wanting to roll out of bed; when the alarm starts to ring. You’ll probably still be tired once you start, and might be closing your eyes while doing some exercises. But, sooner or later you’ll be wide awake, well kind of anyway.
Feed your body nourishments
You probably heard of the saying you are what you eat. Eating healthy food gives your body the nourishment it needs for a great life. By giving your body the right amount of greens and/or fruits leads you on the right path for self-care. You’ll be less likely to get sick than if you decided to eat all those snacks. You know is no good, and you usually get weak after eating. I know sometimes you might want to eat your feelings away. At least do it with some healthy snacks, they can be delicious too.
Listen to the sound of rain
To most, this is actually a relaxing thing to do. This is an interesting way to be relaxed and less stressed out with what you’re going through. Listening to rain has a sort of peacefulness to it. A way to let go of your issues and be calm at the moment. Basely a way to empty your worries, and let it float away from you.
Meditation is here
Want to feel a sense of tranquility? You have thousands of thoughts roaming through your mind. Meditating is an excellent way to give clarity to your thoughts. At the same time you become detached with your worries, and become grounded; more self-aware with what’s really important.
Take a 30 min walk
Smell the fresh air hitting your skin. Being outdoors is perfect for clearing your mind from all the clutter. Look how beautiful the world is, because when you’re always in a rush sometimes you forget. What’s actually around.
Stop Comparing yourself to others
This is a pretty huge one you should stop comparing yourself to others. Be proud of who you are. I know some will say “it’s not that easy not”. Since, we’re in a world where social media and the tv shows us what is considered the right way to look like. Long story short, maybe you need to step away from social media for a while. Why not do a challenge for yourself. Just saying.
Take care of your body
Your body is the only one you got why put so much pressure on yourself; give yourself a reward for all the work you did. Such as taking a day off, and giving yourself a pamper day. For instance, go to a spa or do a DIY spa at home self-care comes in anyways. Don’t forget that honey facial mask.
Stop-over thinking
There’s nothing like being in the present, and thinking too much, especially over things that haven’t happened yet. Leads to more and more worrying just be in the moment and try to go with the flow. As you know worrying too much can transition to stress and long-lasting headaches.
Hangout with a friend
Self-care doesn’t always mean you have to be alone. Have a positive friend by your side, and have some fun together. For instance, spend some time out and about in the world, or just stay at home in some comfy pajamas. Have a girl chat.
Go Shopping
Hello, new outfit. This is what makes a lot of people feel good. Putting on that a cute outfit that builds your confidence even more. Just helps you to not think about anything else, but just what color of shoes should you buy. So exhilaratiii…ng.
