It has come a time where people believe that the more you have, the better your life will be. Know matter how expensive a shirt is people would try to find a way to get it; even if they have to save months and months of paychecks.

Just so they can have the most trending item to show off. But, once the trend is gone, “what happens to that item?”. It becomes old and is just sitting in your closet. It just becomes another lonely piece of fabric once new is now old. But, most people don’t want to throw it away because they say “Oh no I spent too much on it”. The entire point that I’m trying to come across is letting go of something you once had in the past. Could improve your future or your life.

1. It can take a toll on your mind
I know you can probably still make a unique style out of it. But, clothing that had brought back a lot of memories. Especially the bad ones can have you thinking bad thoughts.
Of course, is not such a good thing especially if you’re trying to stay in a good feeling in the first place. Knowing when to let go allow for positively to fill our minds.
2. Lack of being true to yourself
Have you ever seen someone and you wonder why in the world are they wearing that? Their outfit doesn’t match their personality. People like this are usually just influenced by too many things around them and don’t know how to handle it. Having clothes just because of the trend, or you want to showcase how much you have.
You’re just going to end up losing you are and say bye to your true self. Decluttering your wardrobe allows us, to find what we should and already love. It all starts with an intention
3. Organization doesn’t work out
Having too many clothes you might not know what to do with them. Mostly if you’re not that organized in the first place. Imagine the headache you have trying to find an outfit, and knowing you have the perfect pants to wear, but not knowing where it’s at. Life is just a mess.
Having too many clothes can be difficult to find enough space to put something. You’ll just end up squeezing a big sweater into a tiny drawers.
4. Having duplicates
This leads to the idea of not knowing what you already have. Which means you would end up wasting money on useless things. You’ll end up having so many clothes like brand new, with the tags still attached to it.
5. Not knowing what to wear
Remember more is not always better.
You could have a hundred pair of shirts, and just end up feeling too overwhelmed. Due to having so many options. Which make it seems like it can take forever to find an outfit since nothing seems to be matching. Then, your wardrobe is cohesive at this point, and decluttering your wardrobe sounds like a great idea.
You’ll find out that what you had on the first time was the best one.
6. In need for some cash
So this is pretty big. Removing the old clothes from your closet you don’t have to lose all the money that you paid for it in the first place. Allowing yourself to make a little extra cash never hurt anyone. Whether you’re trying to put more money in your savings account, or need some money. This is one of the easier options to sell your clothes online or at a flea market. Either way is just as good as the other.
But this one takes a little bit of time, so it might not be such a good choice if you’re doing the one-day decluttering closet sort of thing. It has a little process.
7. Feeling of dissatisfaction
As everyone has heard the saying that the more you have, the more you’ll want. This can be so true to your clothes. When you keep buying clothes, the feeling of dissatisfaction comes into play.
You’ll never feel like you have enough because you’re so used to getting so much. Not being happy with what you already have can come into play bigger than a piece of fabric. Maybe you should just do into minimalist style for a while it can do wonders. By helping you to be happy with what you already have by only using what you already own.
